Avoiding Common Grammatical Errors
Effective academic writing requires a careful eye for both content (the ideas) and form (the ways these ideas are articulated). At the level of composition, there are several common errors that can hinder clarity and comprehension. This workshop will focus on four of these common grammatical errors: run-on sentences, comma splices, subject-verb disagreement, and sentence fragments. By helping students identify and correct common patterns in their writing, this workshop will enable students to further build and improve their editing and proofreading skills.
